About the Role
This home is a female only home and has two positions open; a 33hrs/wk position and the schedule is Friday 2pm to 11pm, Saturday 10am to 10pm and Sunday 8am to 8pm, the other opening is a 33hrs/wk position and the schedule is Sunday 8pm to 9am, Monday & Tuesday 11pm to 9am.
As Mentors, these staff will be responsible for teaching, assisting, and encouraging individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in the use of daily living skills.
One young lady resides in this home. She is semi-independent, but requires significant verbal guidance with healthy meal choices, medications, and environmental/personal hygiene. She attends a work program part of the week and a day program on her days off from work. This young lady requires significant prompting to engage in daily routine including necessary outings or activities but can stay on track once you get her started. Shen enjoys spending time with staff doing arts and crafts but going out to eat is her favorite thing to do. She can vocalize her wants and needs but may have some challenges with expressing her emotions. This home requires attention to medical/health and safety needs. This home is located off Speedway and Camino Seco.

About the Company
Tucson Residence Foundation, a non-profit organization, has been dedicated to providing the highest quality services and supports to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities since 1971.
Paid training is provided to all new staff. A variety of part-time, full-time, and relief shifts are currently available. Some positions may require overnights or the use of American Sign Language. Qualified applicants must be able to pass a criminal history background check, be at least 21 yr. old to be considered a driver for insurance purposes, possess a HS diploma/GED, a valid AZ driver's license, and clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 39 months).
TRF offers extensive benefits to all employees who are scheduled to work for 20 or more hours per week. The Agency allows employees to enroll their dependents on all plans and pays over 70 percent of the monthly premiums for both employees and dependents.
