About the Role

This home has a 26hrs/wk position available and the schedule is Friday thru Monday 3pm to 9:30pm.

As Mentors, these staff will be responsible for teaching, assisting, and encouraging individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in the use of daily living skills.

There are three elderly independent gentlemen reside in their own separate home within a diverse community. All three men currently work in the community and are independent enough to use the public bus and assistive transportation. One elderly gentleman is currently home semi-retired and works three days a week. The other two gentlemen work all week from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. Although these gentlemen are semi-independent, they require verbal cues and limited assistance to complete their daily living routines such as cooking meals, attending to the needs of their homes, taking their medication, and going to doctor’s appointments. These gentlemen enjoy spending time interacting with staff doing just about everything. This home requires attention to medical/health and safety needs. This home is located near Park and Irvington.

Paid training is provided to all new staff. A variety of part-time, full-time, and relief shifts are currently available. Some positions may require overnights or the use of American Sign Language. Qualified applicants must be able to pass a criminal history background check, be at least 21 yr. old to be considered a driver for insurance purposes, possess a HS diploma/GED, a valid AZ driver's license, and clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 39 months).
